Limerick, MaineWillis F. Lord, 90, of Limerick, Maine, died Tuesday September 3, 2002 at The Maine Veterans Homes of Scarborough.He was born in Newfield Maine on September 6, 1911, the son of William S. and Ida (Smith) Lord and attended schools there.Mr. Lord was a WWII Army Veteran who served in The European Theatre where he became a Prisoner of War.He worked for The Goodall Sanford Mills. After that he worked for many Limerick area Farmers. He worked for The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for over 10 years as well as for The South Portland Shipyard.Mr. Lord was a member of The Day Spring Lodge of Masons in West Newfield.He lived with his nephew Walter Ricker Sr. and his wife Lorraine in Limerick for the past 6 and a half years.He is survived by sons Robert Lord of Sanbornville, NH., and Arnold Lord of Springvale, Maine; a daughter Betty Hardey of Springvale, and 6 grandchildren; and his nephew Walter Ricker Sr. and his wife Lorraine of Limerick, he was predeceased by his wife Antoinette Camire Lord who died in 1992, his sisters Madeline Christeas and Pauline Brill. Relatives and friends may call from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday September 5, 2002 at Heald Funeral Home 26 Sokokis Trail North in Limerick, Maine, where a funeral will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday September 6, 2002. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Newfield.
