Will Brook

Sanford, MaineWill Brook, 95, of Sanford, died Friday November 29, 2002 at The Goodall Hospital.He was born in Bradford Yorkshire, England on July 27, 1907, he was the son of John and Mary (Clair) Brook.For 50 years he owned and operated Brooks Express Trucking in Sanford. He married Marjorie Estes in 1930 and they celebrated their 72nd anniversary on November 25th of this year.He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and a caring friend to all.Will was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and was well known for his outstanding rabbit dogs. For 55 years he enjoyed fishing at his camp on Sebago Lake where he spent his summers.He was a member of The Masons Preble Lodge #143 and a past patron of The Eastern Star for over 50 years, as well as a member of the 50 Plus Club. He was also a former member and Past Master of The Bauney Beg Grange in 1945.Will was predeceased by his beloved grandson Mark Cousens. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Marjorie Brook; daughters June Wescott of Gettysburge, PA, and Sandra Warner of Sanford, ME; as well as grandchildren Robert Wescott of Potomac, MD, William Wescott of Lynchburg, VA, Susan Browning of Banner Elk, NC, Michael Cousens of Springvale, ME, and Ellen Hineman of Kennett Square, PA; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Edna Scott of England.Relatives and friends may call from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street Springvale, ME, where a funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM.
