Farwell, 74, of Sanford, Maine, died August 16, 2001 at his daughter's residence in Sanford.Born in Shapleigh, Maine on September 18, 1926 the son of Almon and Margaret Carson Farwell, and attended local schools.Mr. Farwell Served for the United States Navy aboard The U.S.S. Intrepid During WWII.He was employed as a truck driver for Genest Concrete, Mapes Oil and Lavalley Lumber.Mr. Farwell was a member of The Veterans of Foreign War, Post #9935 of Sanford.He enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and playing cards with friends. As of late Mr. Farwell enjoyed the new computer that his family bought for him.Besides his wife of 54 years Lynn E. Farwell of Sanford, he is survived by a daughter Kerry Quirion of Sanford, a sister Gertrude Fletcher of Shapleigh; grandchildren Kaitlyn and Cory; and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a brother Newton Farwell and a sister Evelyn Gerry.A memorial service will be held at a later date.
