Wanda Jean Russell

Waterboro - Wanda Jean Russell, 38, of Main Street passed away Friday December 6th, 2002 at home after a courageous seven year battle with breast cancer surrounded by her family and friends.She was born June 7, 1964 in Farmington, Me., daughter of Donald Rundlett of Sanford and Nancy Morang of Augusta, Me. She attended Wells schools and graduated in 1982.She married Wayne Russell on May 27, 1988 and has lived in Waterboro for the past 10 years and has two children Corey Wayne Russell & Shelby Lynn Russell.Wanda enjoyed camping with her family, listening to music and was proudly known as a "Soccer Mom", never missing a practice or game whether it was soccer, baseball or basketball. Wanda was a very strong advocate of both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, often volunteering for events and assisting Corey and Shelby as they advanced within their programs. Besides her parents, husband and children, Wanda is survived by a sister, Wendy Ansara of Manchester, N.H., brother-in-law Jesse Ansara of Manchester N.H., sister-in-law Barbara Perry, of Jackson Al., two nephews Joshua Perry of Jackson AL, and Christopher Ansara of Manchester N.H., a niece Stephanie Perry of Jackson AL, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Sunday December 8th at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale Maine. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Monday December 9th at the Heald Funeral Home.
