Virginia M. Sylvester

Virginia M. Sylvester, 80, formerly of the Sanford/Springvale area died early Saturday morning October 26, 2002 at the Springbrook Nursing Home in Westbrook.Mrs. Sylvester was born on September 9, 1922 in Springvale. She was the daughter of Alfred and Julia Plante Pence. She is a graduate of Sanford High School and worked for many years at Kent's Dry Cleaners as well as Church secretary and treasurer at the Springvale Free Baptist Church.In her spare time Virginia volunteered as a Girl Scout leader. She loved to cook special meals for everyone as well.Surviving is her husband John Sylvester of Westbrook, two daughters, Beverly Cutter of Westbrook, JoAnne V.
