Virginia Stackpole

Virginia H. Stackpole, 77, of E. Lebanon, ME died Wednesday afternoon July 24, 2002 at the Sanford Healthcare Facility.Mrs. Stackpole was born on February 5, 1925 in Rochester, NH. She was the daughter of Howard and Bernice Bonney Hanson. She attended Rochester schools and graduated from McIntosh College.For many years Mrs. Stackpole worked at the E. Rochester Shoe Factory, she also worked for the Lebanon School system for over 20 years as the cafeteria manager. She was the secretary for the town of Lebanon Board of Selectmen for 40 years, a deaconess for the N. Parish Congregational Church of Sanford; where she was also a member of the Monday Nighters.She greatly enjoyed socializing with her friends, tending to her flower garden, and baking the most delicious pies.Predeceasing her in 1979 was her husband George Stackpole and a daughter Wendy PinedaSurvivors include two daughters, Julia Stackpole of Newfield, ME, Dorothy Sawyer of Springvale, ME, a son James Stackpole of Lebanon, ME, a grandson Jason Stackpole of Hopkinton, MA, two brothers, Arthur Hanson of Aventura, FL, and Robert Hanson of Roseville, CA. Also surviving are granddaughters Wendy Bellanger,and Diane Frechette, a grandson Richard Lawrence and several nieces and nephews.
