Virginia Brown

Virginia L. Brown, 74 years old, of Lebanon, ME died Monday, October 8, 2007 in Dover, NH.Virginia was born on January 31, 1933 in Popham, ME. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther Bouy Perkins. For many years Virginia worked as a private caretaker and nurses assistant.Virginia was a very adventurous woman. She loved the outdoors, especially camping with her family at Ayers Lake, boating, and tending to her gardens. She enjoyed family picnics, and parties, and was said to have enjoyed a nice martini every now and then. Virginia never missed an episode of "Day's of our Lives", and she enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays, especially Christmas.Her friends and family will surely miss her loving, and outgoing spirit. Surviving are her children, Lisa Keen and her husband Kevin of Lebanon; Patricia Staples and her husband Charlie of Phippsburg, Jamie Gilman of Phippsburg; five grandchildren, Amanda Brown-Braswell and her husband Michael, Timothy Keen, Brandyn Keen, Wesley Staples, and Brandy Staples, and a great grandson Nicholas Garry Wyatt Braswell.A period of visitation for Virginia will be held this Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St. Springvale, ME; where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday the 13th.
