Viola Moreau

Viola Moreau, 87, of Springvale, passed away on Thursday August 21, 2014 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford. She was born in Sanford on March 6, 1927 a daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Letourneau) Fontaine.A lifelong communicant of Notre Dame Parish in Springvale, she was active in organizing and working the parish fairs. She also volunteered time with the mercy meals following funerals.In earlier years she had been employed at the former Goodall-Sanford textile mills.She is predeceased by her husband of 54 1/2 years, Philippe L. Moreau, one grandson, Trevor Moreau.She is survived by her sons, Dennis J. Moreau and his wife, Connie of Fitchburg, MA, Marcel Moreau and his wife, Kathy of Florida and Pennsylvania, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters, Arlene Fortier of Springvale, Rachel Doiron of Sanford, Constance Smith of Seattle, WA, several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 5 to 8PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale.
