Victor R. Desaulniers

Victor R. "Injun Joe" Desaulniers Victor R. Desaulniers, 69 years old, of Acton, ME died Saturday evening March 20, 2004 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. Mr. Desaulniers was born on March 1, 1935 in Attleboro, MA. He was the son of Edward and Loretta Desaulniers, and attended Mass. schools. Victor was an Air Force Veteran, and self-employed carpenter that loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing trips to the St. John's River. He enjoyed feeding the birds, and overnighters on Porcupine Hill. Victor was a dear family man that loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and his entire extended family. He crafted his own toys for the children, and grandchildren for Christmas, and enjoyed the occasional trip to Florida. Predeceasing him is a son Frank, a daughter Cheryl, and two sisters, Denise, and Yvette. Surviving is his wife of 45 years Jacqueline (Precourt) Desaulniers of Acton, four sons, James of Shapleigh, Denny of Acton, Wayne of Shapleigh, and Chris of Edgewater, FL. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, and a sister Vivian Watson of MA. An 11:00 am memorial service for Mr. Desaulniers will be held on Tuesday March 23, 2004 at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale, ME.
