Vernon A. LinscottKennebunkVernon A. Linscott, 57 years old, of Kennebunk was surrounded by family and friends as he died peacefully at his home on Sunday.He was born in Farmington, ME, a son of Arthur Vernon Linscott and Charlotte Robbins Linscott. He was raised however by his foster parents, Rose and Jesse Wessel of Blue Hill, ME; where he attended schools, including George Stevens Academy.For several years Vernon worked for Gallo Construction of Sanford, Chris Cote & Assoc., of York, and Kinney's RV in Arundel. In addition he was self-employed with his wife who owns and operates "King Paul and Queen Thelma" French Fries at Maine's agricultural fairs.Surviving is his wife of 22 years Pamela Webber of Kennebunk, a son, Arthur and daughter Denise, both of Bucksport, ME and three grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Arthur of Wakefield, MA, and several other siblings.Vernon was a model train hobbyist, and a founding member of the York County Model Railroad Club. He also enjoyed radio controlled trucks and cars. Vernon had an extraordinary love for animals, and leaves his poodle Buffy, and his cat Tolerance at home.In order that many of Vernon's family and friends from the Maine Fair Circuit can join in celebrating his life, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at 6:00 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kennebunk Animal Welfare Society, P.O. Box 43, W. Kennebunk, ME 04094.
