Thomas E. Murphy, 70 years old, of the Secular Franciscan Order died Saturday July 19, 2003 in Scarborough, ME.Mr. Murphy was born on March 23, 1933 in Boston, MA. He was the son of Joseph and Anna Smith Murphy. He attended Boston area schools and the Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a veteran of the U.S. navy and for many years worked as a construction engineer.Predeceasing him is a brother Joseph T. Murphy.Surviving is a daughter Carolyn Trott and her husband Alan of Wilmington, MA, a sister Brenda Dugan and her husband William of Falmouth, MA, a sister-in-law Eileen Dawson Murphy of Wellesley, MA, and several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday July 22nd at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME; where a Knight's of Columbus service will be held at 8:00 PM. On Wednesday July 23rd please meet the family at St. Mathew R. C.
