Shirley A. Neubert

SANFORD Shirley A. Neubert, 79, a most recent resident of Huntington Commons in Kennebunk and formerly of Main St., in Sanford died Tuesday at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford following a lingering illness. She was born in Quakertown, PA on July 21, 1928 a daughter of Harvey & Anna (Delp) Yoder. She attended Quakertown grade shools and was a graduate of Quakertown High School.Shirley and her late husband Richard moved from PA to Sanford in 1998 so they could be closer to their grandchildren. She was formerly employed by Thyrocron Electronics of Telford, PA retiring in 1988.She was past president of the West End Fire Company #2 Auxilary of Quakertown, a member of the American Legion Post #242 also of Quakertown and on the board of directors of Mousam Valley AARP chapter of Sanford.Her husband Richard O. Neubert died February 20th and she was also predeceased by her grandson Alexander H. Neubert in 1993 and her brother Harvey D. Yoder.Survivors are her two sons, Eric J. Neubert and his wife Nancy of Lebanon, Richard A. Neubert and his wife Karen of Wells, three sisters, Virginia Frederick and her husband Morris of Lady Lake, FL, Dorothy Wade of AZ, and Phyllis Godshall and her husband Raymond of Lansdale, PA. Four grandchildren, Sarah, Kathleen, Adam & Mitchell and a great granddaughter Kayla. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday December 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Forest Grove Cemetery, No. Lebanon with Rev. Jean Main officiating.
