Of LimerickShirley T. Cavicchi of Limerick died January 26, 2002 at Maine Medical Center after a prolonged illness.She was born in Canton, MA; a daughter to Michael and Irene Jacques Caradonna. She graduated from St. John parochial school and Fisher College of Boston.Mrs. Cavicchi worked as a legal secretary in the offices of Bernard Shur, Sawyer and Beyar, and the office of Wilson Sr. Esq. Of Portland. Later on she worked for Ropes, Gray, Coolidge, Best, and Rugg esqs. of Boston. She also worked for the Hon. Bernard Cohen and Lillian Levine esqs. Of MA before retiring as a secretary from the Halifax, MA school system.She was a communicant of St. Mathew Parish of Limerick where she co-chaired the food pantry and participated in mass as a Eucharistic minister. Shirley was a confirmed outdoors person. She was a member of the York County Fish & Game Club, the Sportsmen's alliance of Maine; she served on the state wide deer task force, and was recently appointed to the newly formed Fish & Game advisory board of Southern Maine.She was also a member of the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary of Limerick, ME; past president and petite chapeau of the 40 & 8 Legion auxiliary in MA.Surviving is her husband George Sr., and her son George G. Jr. of Halifax, MA. Also surviving are three granddaughters; Amanda, Allison, and Theresa.A period of visitation will be held Tuesday January 29 from 4 to 7 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, 25 Sokokis Tr. (Rte. 5) Limerick, ME. On Wednesday please meet the family at St. Mathews Church, Dora Lane, (off rte. 111) Limerick for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
