Portland – Sharon (Kelly) Robbins, 82, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Portland, surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born in Portland on December 19, 1943, the daughter of the late Peter Kelly Jr. and Alice (Thurlow) Kelly.
She is a graduate of Portland High School. She attended Gorham Teacher’s College (now University of Southern Maine). She was employed many years at Canal Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager. Sharon devoted much of her professional life to serving students and families as an Educational Technician with the Portland Public Schools. Her work reflected her lifelong commitment to helping others, advocating for those in need, and ensuring that every child was seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. She was known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she served.
Above all, Sharon treasured her family. She found joy in celebrating life’s milestones, spending time with her grandchildren, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, James M. Robbins; her son, Joseph Robbins; her sister, Nancy Kelly; and her brother, Peter Kelly. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Judy Shields and Jean Robbins and her husband, Stephen Fearing; her cherished grandchildren, Caleb and Gabriel Shields, and Marion and Christopher Fearing; her sisters, Mary Pinkham and her husband Ken, and Patsy Music; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Avenue, Portland, with graveside prayers to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway, South Portland. My sincere condolences to Judy and Jean, Patsy, Mary, and your wonderful family! I know that you are all a blessing to each other during these difficult days, and I hope God is blessing each of you with the gifts of comfort and peace as Sharon joins other loved ones in heaven. Sharon will certainly be missed for her outstanding kindness and compassion. I also remember her as someone who emulated joy just by walking into a room. She always had a smile, and made one feel so welcomed to be in her presence. I am thinking of each of you and keeping you in my prayers during this difficult time of transition. God bless.

Caleb, Gabe and me loved you and miss you so much. I hope you are in Heaven celebrating with all of your loved ones that left before you. We are glad you are no longer suffering and left this world surrounded by your loved ones. Rest in peace and fly high.
My Condolences to the family. Sharon always brought her big smile and good humor to our wateraerobics class at Reiche Pool. She shall be missed by all.

Heaven just gained another Saint but she will be missed by those that are left here. She is at peace now with those who have gone on before her. she was a wonderful wife, mother ,grandmother, sister and friend. She had a giving heart to those she knew. Heaven is a sweeter place now that Sharon has arrived and someday we will all be able to reunite with her. My prayers are with you all at this time as you mourn her passing.
