Sanford, Maine – Sandra A. Houston (Rouillard), 65, passed away on January 3rd, 2025, after a brief illness. A lifetime resident of the Sanford/Springvale area, she was born on April 2nd, 1959 to her parents, Maurice and Pauline Rouillard.

She graduated from Sanford High School. She worked many local jobs throughout her life, but she was most recently employed as a manager at Reny’s in Wells, Maine, where she met and made many friends over her decade plus with the company. Her interests included tending to her gardens, exploring and glamping in the most scenic areas of Maine and New Hampshire, knitting and spending time with all her siblings and her immediate family. She was a woman of simple tastes and a simple life.

She is predeceased by both her parents, and a sister and spouse, Doris (Rod) Johnson (Rouillard). She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mike Houston, her daughter, Amber Brozeau (Houston) and husband Corey Brozeau, her only grandchild, Connor Brozeau, who she loved dearly, and her dog Molly. She is also survived by her sister Claire (Bob) Creteau (Rouillard), and her brothers Paul (Maria) Rouillard, Roland (Linda) Rouillard, Richard (Lisa) Rouillard, and Mark Rouillard, and several nieces and nephews.

A private family ceremony has already been held in her honor. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to her family’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
