Ruth Hammond

Ruth E. Hammond, 98, of Seymour, formerly of Acton, died April 28 in Wisconsin.She was born on February 21, 1915, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Thomson) Houghton.In October of 2000, Ruth moved to Wisconsin after the death of her third husband to be closer to her sons. She was a member of the Seymour United Methodist Church.Survivors include her sons Ronald Meek and his wife Kay of Sobieski, WI, David Meed and his wife Judy of Pulaski, WI, 6 grandchidlren and 9 great grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husbands Edwin J. Meek, Paul Gerrish and Edward Hammond and by a brother Gordon Houghton.A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, July 22 at 10:00 AM at Milton Mills Cemetery in Milton Mills, NH.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
