He loved boating and fishing in the ocean, enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and attending car shows. Russell was an animal lover, especially of his dog, Abby. He cherished visits to Loring Air Force Base, loved sitting out in the sunshine, and enjoyed the nice weather. 1. He was mostly on top of things, but might need a little nudging from Connie and she knew exactly when to nudge. She, Connie, kept him good, really good.

  2. Russ was my big brother for all my life. We both went to high school together, he a senior and I being a freshman.

  3. He wasn’t fond of being stationed in Taiwan to say the least. Loved being stationed at Loring AFB. He was a Mainer 100 percent

  4. Once he was locked in his truck. Connie told him to unlock the truck. Said I can’t so he rolled down the window, handed her the keys, you unlock it. Should have been there for this one.
