Rosemarie Noll

rosemarie noll
Rosemarie Noll, 91, of Acton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, September 2, 2024. Born on June 20, 1933, in Haushan, Germany, to Franz and Anna Praschak. Rosemarie grew up in Schliersee Bavaria, a picturesque mountain village where she experienced the challenges of World War II, yet cherished childhood adventures with her siblings and cousins. In Germany, Rosemarie met the love of her life, Horst Noll. When Horst moved to the United States he sent Rosemarie 100 love letters, urging her to join him. She bravely emigrated to the U.S., landing first in New York, and later joining Horst at a military base in Georgia. The couple eventually settled in Long Island, NY, bought a house on the canal where they welcomed two children, enjoying weekends boating and making lasting memories. Seeking a quieter life, the family moved to Massachusetts, and settled in the small town of Hopkinton, where they built their own home and successfully operated a carpet and tile business for over 25 years. In 1984, Rosemarie's life was forever changed by Horst's passing at a young age. Years later, Rosemarie fulfilled her dream of living on the island of St. Maarten, where she ran a successful real estate and property management company for 13 years. A true entrepreneur, Rosemarie was proud to work on her own terms. She had a deep love for travel, skiing, hiking, and gardening, especially her beloved roses. Rosemarie was a devoted Jehovah's Witness, forming cherished friendships in many congregations. She was an extraordinary and adventurous woman, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Horst Noll, her brother Alois and sister Johanna. Rosemarie is survived by her younger brother Franz Praschak, of Germany, her son Marcus Noll, her daughter Michele Noll, grandchildren Keannu Temmer, Nhia Temmer, and Soleil Temmer, and several nieces nephews, and special friends too numerous to mention. Her family is deeply grateful to Hospice of Southern Maine for their compassionate care.

  1. Dear Michele and family. Sorry to hear about the passing of your mom Rosemarie. Please accept our deepest sympathy and our prayers. Love Aline & Solomon

  2. Rosemarie was the one who kept coming to us to purchase a certain piece of land in St. Maarten. Her insistence caused La Vista Beach Hotel NV to be born! I am not surprised to hear she made it to her nineties! May she Rest In Peace.

  3. I remember the photo of your mom and dad there in Columbus. They did not stay long in the south. Your mom gave us a whole roll of carpet for a wedding present,Ricky has never gotten over that. Also the summer I stayed with you guys your mom did her best to let me see the whole area. It is a great memory. So glad she is a part of our lives.
