Rose M. Hobbs

Rose M. Hobbs, 100 of Sanford, ME died early Tuesday morning May 14th at the Newton Center in Sanford.Mrs. Hobbs was born on August 7, 1901 in Berlin, NH. She was the daughter of Pitre and Anna Cadieux Morel.Mrs. Hobbs spent most of her life at her home in Alfred, ME where she tended to her beautiful rock and flower gardens. She enjoyed the quiet country life and always had time to bake a loaf of bread or a pie and fix up a good home cooked meal. She was a very loving and gentle woman that always had a smile to share with others.Her husband Frederick Hobbs predeceased her.Survivors include several nieces and nephews, the Morel family of MA, the Willey family of ME, and the Hobbs Family of ME, and NH.An hour of visitation beginning at 9:00 AM will be held prior to funeral services for Mrs. Hobbs, which will be held on Thursday May 16th at 10:00 AM. They will be held at Holy Family R.C. Church on North St. in Sanford, ME. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred, ME.For those that desire memorials may be made to the Newton Center Activity Fund, 35 July St. Sanford, ME.
