Furbish, 84, of Sanford, died October 11, 2002 at The Newton Center in Sanford.He was born in Sanford on January 15, 1918, he was the son of Oscar and Iva (Allen) Furbish.Mr. Furbish worked most of his life as a television repairman. He started out in the 40's working for World Radio, then working many years for himself. He then retired from Central Television in Sanford after 25 years of service.He built his own home and loved carpentry work. Mr. Furbish enjoyed gardening, as well as coin and stamp collecting.He is survived by his wife of 57 years Rose Marie Furbish of Sanford; daughters Cheryl Furbish of Miami, FL and Sharon Goodale of Sanford, Maine; 4 grandchildren Todd Furbish of Miami, FL., Allan Goodale of Sanford, Stacey Lemay of Springvale and Dillon Shepard of Sanford; 4 great grand Jena, Corey, Scott and Joshua Lemay all of Springvale.A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday October 17, 2002 at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Sanford.
