Roland Robert Riesssle

Roland Robert Riessle Jr.,77, of Shapleigh, Maine, formerly of Bedford, MA, passed away on Tuesday June 14, 2005 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine after complications from a heart attack. He was born in Clinton, MA, on November 29, 1927 a son of Roland Sr., and Edith (McCracken) Riessle. He attended Bedford Schools and Waltham Trade High School. He married the former Marjorie Elizabeth Atwood on March 5, 1949. He was employed by American Steel and Aluminum Corp of Norwood, MA for 36 years. He and Marjorie retired to Shapleigh, Maine in 1985.He was a member of Frank W. Thompson Masonic Lodge in Bedford, MA, and a member of the Sanford Elk's Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working around his home and garden.He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie E. Riessle of Shapleigh, three children, Nancy Landry of Sanford, Maine, Richard R. Riessle of Shapleigh, Maine and James F. Riessle of Marlboro, MA, step mother, Lois Riessle of Washington, NH, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, sister, Elizabeth Corbett of Sterling, MA, brother, Paul Riessle of Tewksbury, MA, and Philip Riessle of North Chelmford, MA, step brother, Wayne Riessle of Washington, NH, and many nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be on Thursday June 16 from 4-8pm at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home 580 Main Street, Springvale where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 1pm Interment will be held at a later date at the Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford, MAIn lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Shapleigh Rescue Squad PO Box 51 Shapleigh, Maine 04076
