Roger Ouellette

Roger J. Ouellette, 77, of Shapleigh, passed away following a brief illness on Friday July 7, 2006 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Sanford on February 23, 1929, a son of Frank and Anna (Ricard) Ouellette.He served his country in the United States Army as an MP. He then worked 31 years as a truck driver for Adam's Trucking Co. and also at WASCO for 8 years. He was a member of the Sanford Elk's Lodge, Lafayette Club, Springvale Social Club and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.He is predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Theresa Y. (Lessard) Ouellette.He is survived by three sons, Daniel F. Ouellette and his wife, Lynne of Sanford, Dennis J. Ouellette and his wife, Gail of Limington and Steven R. Ouellette of Limington, one brother, Arthur Ouellette of Sanford, grandsons, Corey Normand and Nathan Ouellette.A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Springvale. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Shapleigh Rescue PO Box 51, Shapleigh, ME 04076.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.Condolences may be expressed by using the tab to the left.br>
