Robert William Maynard
Sanford, Maine
Born January 27, 1967, Bob went into the Lord’s arms at home on June 30, 2026, our angel surrounded by his wife, his boys and his two oldest grandchildren.
Bob graduated from Randolph High School New York in 1985.
After graduation he went into the Army, tanker unit. Once out of the Army he lived in Bacliff, TX for twenty years, working as an electrician and at the Houston Gas Plants.
In 2003 he moved to Maine with his new wife and worked as an electrician at Pepperell Mills in Biddeford, ME and then went on to get his second-class boiler license and worked at the Mills until they closed.
Bob then joined the team at Mercy Hospital (Northerlight) as a boiler mechanic; he was a lifetime learner and had a thirst for knowledge. He went to school to be the HVAC technician for the hospital; he worked for 16 years with the best team ever! He enjoyed going to work, helping others to learn was always his priority, Bob was respected and loved by all who collaborated with him and knew him. He worked with unwavering courage until he could no longer work, he was exceptional. Thank you, team Mercy, for watching over this man, I am forever grateful that he had you all.
Bob belonged to the Sanford Springvale Fish and Game, he was a member of SASS, single action shooting society and enjoyed this sport of dinging those targets. He was known as Pondarosa Bob. He stayed active with the club and joined the 3-gun series. Other hobbies were Fort exploring, the Forts along the coast of Maine and New Hampshire. Bob also loved being a BBQ master, and he loved his meat smoker. But his biggest hobby of all, his family! He took great care of his grandchildren, always there whenever they needed a Poppy. And to a daughter and boys he called his own. There was no one who could have given this family so much time and love, he loved and supported us all. What a wonderful blessing to have him in our lives for the past 23 years, so humble and kind, understanding.
Our hearts will forever miss this wonderful man. This beautiful man touched everyone, he was truly one of a kind. We will honor his memories every day for the rest of our lives.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob back in high school. We played football together. We became family when I married his cousin Dee. We had alot of great times together. I was privileged to be able to spent time with him and Robin last year. He will be greatly missed.
Bob was the best husband and father. He had an enormous heart, and unending patience. He will live on in all our hearts.
You were one of the most amazing human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you for loving my sister the way you did and keeping a smile on her face for all those years. Thank you for loving the rest of us unconditionally. Thank you for always running to my rescue with all those furnace issues. Thank you for everything. Words can’t describe how much you will be missed.
Knowing Bob in high school was a pleasure filled with brotherhood and laughter.
Spent many of nights at his house, in Randolph, that we all (including Bob) believed to be haunted.
Played football together and enjoyed watching a man of Bob’s size be unstoppable.
Bob was an outstanding young man during his high school years and was liked by all as he was funny, quick witted and just a good guy.
It appears that Bob followed the same honorable and dedicated path into his adulthood.
Bob was always a person with silid character and love.
The world will surely miss him.
You were an amazing person. Your kind heart is something I have always treasured. The word step was never in your vocabulary. You loved everyone like family!
