Robert "Bobby" Legere, 44, of 472 Valley Road, died Monday at Goodall Hospital in Sanford, following a brief illness. He was born in Manchester, CT, October 15, 1958, a son of the late Normand J. and Arlene (Gautreau) Legere. He moved to Maine at the age of 3 and had lived in the area ever since.He was a 1977 graduate of Sanford High School. While in high school, he worked at Shaw's Super Market in Sanford. Following graduation, he went to work as an order picker at Shaw's warehouse in Wells. He had been employed there for the past 23 years, and for the past 5 years has been a shift supervisor.Bobby enjoyed his work and family and had many interests. He was a member of the Sanford Lodge, BPOE (Elks) for the past 23 years and played on the softball team until recently.He played golf with his brother, brother-in-law and friends for the past 15 years. He was also an avid hunter and loved his annual trips to Molunkus Lake, near Lincoln, ME. He was a 4-wheeler and enjoyed skiing as well.Yard work was also a passion, and he built stone walls on his property.According to family members, he was a hard worker all his life and was a good daddy to his girls.He is survived by his wife, Tracy (Lopez) Legere of North Berwick; two daughters, Ashley D. Legere of Springvale and Kelsey A. Legere of North Berwick; 2 brothers, David M. Legere of Shapleigh and Raymond J. Therriault of Saco; 5 sisters, Maurene A. Madore of Old Orchard Beach, Sharon A. Legere of North Berwick, Laurie M. Beals and Gayle M. Martin, both of Wells; a brother-in-law, Mark A. Lopez of Kensington, NH, and numerous nieces and nephews.Bobby was predeceased by his daughter, Bryanna L. Legere in 1997.The family requests that you meet them at 9 AM Friday, May 16, at St. Ignatius Church in Sanford for a Mass of Christian Burial.
