Robert FisherNewfield, MaineRobert Fisher, 81, of Newfield Maine, died August 16, 2001 at his residence in Newfield.Born in Needham, MA., on March 5, 1920 he was the son of Harold and Lottie Bell Fisher, Sr., and attended schools in Needham.Mr. Fisher was the road commissioner for the Town of Newfield for 17 years. He also ran wholesale nursery stock in Newfield for many years. Mr. Fisher was also employed as a contractor in southern Maine.He loved farming. Mr. was a very concerned citizen when it came to land conservation here in Maine. He will be remembered for his Megabucks and scratch tickets, as well as for his dry sense of humor.His wife, Priscilla died in March of 2000.Mr. Fisher is survived by a son David Fisher of West Newfield; a daughter Ann Dailey of West Newfield; a brother Wallace Fisher of Newfield; grandchildren Andrew and Hannah; also survived by many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by brothers Frederick and Harold, Jr., and a sister Mabel Fisher.A graveside service will be held on Thursday August 23, 2001 in The Maplewood Cemetery, Parsonsfield, Maine.
