Robert R. Ferris

Robert R. Ferris, Jr., 51, of Rochester, NH, died on July 26, 2012, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME.Robert was born in Sanford on December 17, 1960. His family moved to Milton Mills when he was a young child where he lived for several years and attended local schools. Later his family relocated to Rochester where he attended high school. Robert held several jobs during his life at different factories and lumber yards. He was a very artistic person and enjoyed drawing. He would often make his own greeting cards which he would send to people on different occasions. When he was younger he enjoyed roller skating and skiing. Robert was a very outgoing person and had many friends. He was extremely generous and would happily give to anybody in need. He will be remembered as a kind and loving man and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Surviving are two sons, Robert R. Ferris III and his companion Tiffany Drapeau of Sanford, ME and Zachary Ferris of Hampton, NH; four grandchildren, Katelyn Ferris, Bobby Ferris, Marissa Ferris and Caleb Ferris, all of Sanford, ME; his mother and step-father, Betty Lou and Joe Wilkinson of Rochester, NH; his father, Robert R. Ferris, Sr. and his companion Judy Eldridge of Milton, NH; his sister, Debbie Slattery and her husband Tim of Rochester, NH; his brother, Andy Wilkinson and his wife Claire of Dover, NH and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 30, 2012 at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street, Springvale, ME.
