Robert T. Dymsza

Robert T. Dymsza, 92, of Acton, ME and formerly of Revere, MA, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at Greenwood Center in Sanford.Mr. Dymsza was born on May 10, 1914 in Haverhill, MA to Theodore and Adele Dymsza and grew up on the family farm in Nashua, NH. He lived and worked for most of his life in Revere and Chelsea, MA, spending summers for 39 years in Acton, ME before finally moving there full time several years back. Robert was dedicated to his country, demonstrating this by his faithful service in the Marines, Coast Guard and the National Guard. He served as a scout Master for both the Boy Scouts and the Sea Scouts and was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish in Chelsea, MA. Robert was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a very dependable and hardworking man, working many extra jobs so that he was able to provide a comfortable living for his family. Robert could be described as a hard working, regular type of guy. He was a quiet and solitary type of person whose main focus in life was his family; he was also particularly fond of his Yorkshire terrier, Lollie. He will be remembered as a kind and loving man and will be deeply missed by his friends and his family. Surviving are his wife, Mary Dymsza of Acton, ME; three daughters, Roberta M. Clarke of Acton, ME and formerly of Saugus, MA, Carol A. DePietro of Chelsea, MA and Gail A. Lee of Sandown, NH; two cousins, Henry and William Dymsza, formerly of Braintree, MA; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.A period of visitation will take place from 9:30 A.M to 12:45 P.M on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, located at 580 Main Street in Springvale, ME. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following the visitation at 1:00 P.M. at Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford, ME.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The National Federation of the Blind, 1800 Johnson Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230 or to Greenwood Center, 1142 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073.
