Robert Wallace Allen

January 18, 1938- July 17, 2024 Robert Wallace Allen, 86, finally found peace on Wednesday, July 17th after a long illness. Bob was born in Lynn, MA the son of the late June V. (Hunter) and Rudolph A. Allen, and was the oldest of 5 siblings, leaving behind Pat, Ginger, Kathi and Eddie. He loved to tell stories of his youth on the ocean’s edge, jumping “bunkies” in the winter and eating periwinkles straight from the rocks in the summer. Bob leaves behind a wife Elaine, and his three children; son Shawn Allen, and his wife Esther of Evans Mills, NY; daughters Siobhan Allen and her fiancé David Gabor of Worcester, MA and Caitrin Spiliakos and her husband Dimitris of Sudbury, MA, as well as their mother Kathleen. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, his greatest joys and pride: Tyrone, Troy and Tyler Allen and Panos and James Spiliakos, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob was a craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, tinkering and fixing things. He wasn’t perfect by a long shot, but he admitted his faults (after some reflection) and made amends as he could. He found great joy in his grandchildren and seeing all that they are accomplishing, and made lasting memories with them whenever he could.
