Rita Anne Casey

Rita Anne Casey, of 21 Oak Street, Springvale, died on Saturday, January 8, 2005.She was born in Providence, RI, April 3, 1918, the daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine (Nolan) Casey.Miss Casey was raised and educated in Providence. After a lengthy career as a long distance telephone operator and supervisor, she retired from what was then New England Telephone Company, and eventually moved to Maine to be near her brother.She was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas B. Casey of Shapleigh and Henry E. Casey of Ocala, Florida. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Marguerite Casey of Shapleigh and Marion Casey of Gainesville, Florida. She is also survived by four nephews, a niece, two grandnephews and a grandniece. Although she had none of her own, Miss Casey was especially devoted to all her nieces and nephews.There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are by Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.
