Richard "Ricky" A. Desmond, 52, of Sanford passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022, at his residence in Sanford. He was born on November 18, 1969, in Bristol, CT. His family moved to Maine when he was four years old. He grew up and attended schools in Biddeford. Ricky was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, snowmobiling, ATV, and camping. He proudly displayed his mounted deer, fish, and pheasant in his home. He especially enjoyed spending time with the love of his life Elizabeth. Ricky would always "tell it like it is" and you never had to guess what was on his mind. He is predeceased by his biological father Gerald Desmond, his grandmother Mona Martel, grandfather Arthur Martel and his cousin Lori Ann Martel. Survivors include his significant other Elizabeth Farley of Sanford, his parents Lowell and Lindola Carson of Biddeford, brothers Robert Carson of Worcester, MA and Ronald Desmond and his wife Lisa of Arundel, stepchildren Kayla Farley of Saco and Samuel Mancini of Biddeford, uncles Bill Martel of Bridgeton, Arthur Martel (Bobo) and his wife Edie of Limerick aunt Melodie Millette and her husband Richard of Alfred and several cousins. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Hope Cemetery, Barnyard Lane, Kennebunk.
