Raymond O. Searles

Raymond O. Searles, 69, of E. Waterboro died Tuesday May 6, 2003 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.Mr. Searles was born on March 26, 1934 in Woodland, ME. He was the son of Harry W. and Viola P. Little Searles. He is a graduate of Massabesic H.S. and for many years worked at Pratt & Whitney. Mr. Searles was a former member of the E. Waterboro Fire Department, and the Masons.Raymond was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Along with his wife he traveled extensively across the United States. He enjoyed working on his antique car, but more than anything he enjoyed the company of his family, especially his grandchildren.Predeceasing him is his first wife Arline N. Norma, and a grandson Derek Fay, and five siblings.Surviving is his wife of 19 years Dorothy "Dotty" Nadeau Searles of E. Waterboro; three sons, Steven and Ronald Searles of E. Waterboro, Jeffrey Searles of Russell, KS; six daughters, Donna Mayo of Waterboro, Brenda Searles of Sanford, Viola Frenette of Buxton, Patricia Payeur of Limington, Pamela Fay of E. Waterboro, and Cindy Strout of Pickerington, OH. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 11 siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and one great-grandchild on the way.A period of visitation will be held on Friday May 9, 2003 from 4 to 8 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale.
