Raoul J. Pinette

Raoul J. Pinette, 79 of Sanford died unexpectedly Sunday, June 5, 2006 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford. Ralph was born October 5, 1925 in Biddeford to Philias and Georgianna Gendron Pinette. During World War II, Mr. Pinette served in the U.S. Navy; he also served in the Air Force during the Korean War era. He worked for over 30 years as a machinist at Raytheon in Bedford and South Lowell, Massachusetts working on both the Tomahawk and the Patriot Missiles Raoul was a very kind hearted and loving man. He displayed this by volunteering at both Goodall Hospital and the Newton Center. Family was also a very important part of his life; he enjoyed attending family reunions and different family functions. His sister Rose had a special place in his heart. Ralph was a fun loving man. When he was younger, he and his wife enjoyed traveling to different places. Some of his other interests included gardening and playing cards. Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Blanche Camire Pinette; he is survived by his sister, Rose Beaudion of Lyman and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church in Sanford on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 11:00 AM with interment following at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford. A reception will follow at the Heald Family Center located on 574 Main Street in Springvale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Newton Center Activities Fund, 20 July Street, Sanford, ME, 04073.
