Priscilla Kenney, 88, of Springvale was born on February 2, 1936, to Leonard and Gertrude (Smith) Hammel in Plymouth, NH, where she grew up and attended local schools. She spent her younger years in New Hampshire, working at New Hampshire Manufacturing, before moving to Maine in the 1970s. She found long-term employment at Sprague Electric in Sanford, where she worked for over 20 years until her retirement. Priscilla led a simple, yet fulfilling life. She enjoyed participating in a bowling league for a time and took pleasure in the comfort of her home, especially while watching "Golden Girls" and a few other favorite shows. She was known for her independent and private nature. Priscilla was predeceased by her parents, three sisters, Pearl Wanat, Phyllis Buck, and Peggy Carter, and three great-grandchildren, AJ, Angel, and Aiden Davis. She is survived by her children: Carol Walker and her husband Gary of Springvale, Gary Kenney and his wife Lisa of Hudson, NH, and Deborah Smith of Parsonsfield, a brother Leonard Hammel Jr. of NH, and a sister, Sylvia Agley of FL. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
