Pierrette Dion

Pierrette C. Dion, 80, of Bow, New Hampshire, died on January 29, 2011 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH.Pierrette was born in Cap-de-la-Madeline, Quebec, Canada on May 31, 1930 to Napoleon and Esperance (Brousseau) Montplaisier and attended local schools. When she was a young woman she married Normand F. Dion and the couple relocated to Salem, Massachusetts where they lived for many years and raised two sons. She moved to Maine in the early 1990's and lived there until 2008 when she went to live in New Hampshire to be closer to family.Pierrette loved playing bingo and going to the beach. She was a quiet woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and attending family functions and holiday gatherings. Pierrette was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Pierrette was predeceased by her husband Normand F. Dion and by her son Norman E. Dion.Surviving are her son, Robert W. Dion and his fiancee Judy of Auburn, New Hampshire, a brother, Andre Montplaisier of Quebec; a sister, Theresa Lamothe of Quebec; three grandsons, Brian Dion of Chester, NH, David Dion of Goffstown, NH and Jeffrey Dion of Northwood, NH; two granddaughters, Kimberly Grandmason of Manchester, NH and Michelle Yasika of Candia, NH; three great-grandchildren, Emeli, Matthew and Jaydon and several nieces and nephews in Quebec.A graveside service will be held in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred, Maine.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
