  1. I first met Phyllis in 1975, when I began my teaching career in South Portland. She was my curriculum director and supported me in what was to become a 43+ year career in education. She was so positive and loved the children! One of my favorite memories of Phyllis was when she would don a paper Pilgrim’s hat and sit down with the children as we shared a Thanksgiving feast. She was an inspiration and role model for me! May she rest in peace after a long life.

  2. She was a wonderful person that I enjoyed our friendship very much. The day she told me that she was moving to Canco was a sad day for me. One of my visual memories of her was seeing this 80+ year old lady sitting on her front lawn pulling weeds, and then standing up like a kid. Asking me to take her snowblower shopping when hers broke. Also her stubborn side of not waiting for me to get home from work to clear the snow and my wife having to try and stop her. I loved her. Michael Deletetsky

  3. With fond memories of times spent with Phyllis at our SW Maine Farmington Alumni Group. Phyllis was always very pleasant and always lent a helping hand.
    With Sympathy, Wahneta Dahlgren
