Phillip C. PoteWest Newfield, MainePhillip C. Pote, 65, of West Newfield Maine, died September 10, 2001 at The Goodall Hospital Sanford, Maine after a long battle with cancer.Born in Lynn, MA., on August 12, 1936, he was born the son of George and Florence Overlook Pote. He attended schools in Lynn and Danvers MA.Phil graduated from and worked for Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute for 38 years as Farm Superintendent. Upon retiring he and his wife Joyce moved to West Newfield. He was a very devoted and loving family man. He loved to fish and boat at his home on Rock Haven Lake and traveled when he could.He is survived by his wife Joyce of 39 years of West Newfield. His three children Ellen Farnsworth of Sedona AZ., Clifford (Skip) Pote of Revere, MA., and Deborah Grover of South Berwick, ME; and three grandchildren; two sisters Barbara Cowan of Exeter, NH., and Phyllis Brown of Seabrook, NH, and a brother Richard Pote of Revere, MA.Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at The Limerick Congregational Church, Route 5, Limerick, Maine.
