Peter S. Gentile

November 29, 1965 ~ March 18, 2026

Born in: Woburn, Massachusetts
Resided in: Sanford, Maine

Peter S. Gentile, 60, of Sanford, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2026.

He was born on November 29, 1965, in Woburn, Massachusetts, to Daniel and Dorothy Gentile. He grew up in Wilmington, where he attended local schools and was known for his athleticism, playing hockey, soccer, and tennis.

Peter went on to study Culinary Arts at Shawsheen Technical School, then went on to spend nearly 20 years working in sales at Ris Paper Company. More recently, he was employed at Phoenix Management, where he enjoyed hands-on property management work.

Peter was the kind of person who could fix just about anything. He took pride in doing things the right way, never cutting corners, and always putting quality first.

He enjoyed playing in a hockey league and playing golf with his buddies. He had a deep love for animals and cherished the time he spent at the lake house he once owned, where many special memories were made. Peter was known for his kind and generous heart, he was sweet, thoughtful, and always willing to help anyone. His greatest joy in life was being a father, a role he treasured deeply.

He was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Gentile, just five months ago.

Peter is survived by his significant other, Lisa Marchese and family, his father, Daniel Gentile; his daughter, Molly Anne Gentile, his sister Ellen Arsenault and her significant other Tom Giangrande; a brother Daniel Gentile and his wife Anna, his sister Mary Beth Tierney and her husband James, and several nieces and nephews and his cherished cat, Emma.
