Pauline E. Brochu

Pauline E. Brochu, 76, of Sanford, died on Monday, February 14th, 2011 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford.Pauline was born in Biddeford on October 23, 1934 to Adjutor and Emilienne (Roux) Brochu. She was raised in Saco by Philip and Eliza Roux and attended local schools.Pauline was employed for 10 years at Kesslen Shoe in Kennebunk. She went on to work at Sprague Electric where she stayed for nearly 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, going to the horse races and playing beano. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish in Sanford. Pauline was very close to Yvette Bougie, who was like a mother to her and helped care for her until her death. Pauline will be remembered as a kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Pauline was predeceased by her companion of over 40 years, Jeanne Langlais; her parents; a brother, George Brochu and a sister Theresa Spayd.Surviving are her close friend and caretaker, Yvette Bougie of Sanford; her twin brother, Paul Brochu of Waterboro; several nieces and nephews and her close friend, Viola Bergeron of Biddeford.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 18th at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford.
