Extending heartfelt sympathies to the St. Hilaire Families for your loss. Paul and I were neighborhood youngsters – he on Oxford Street and I on lower State Street. Interestingly, we both had a career in banking. May your grief be eased by memories of his time with you.

Paul St. Hilaire, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at his son’s home in Limington.
Paul was born on December 22, 1938, in Sanford, to Edouard and Rhea (Allaire) St. Hilaire. He grew up in Sanford and attended local schools, graduating from St. Ignatius High School. He continued his education at Nasson College, working at a grocery store to help pay for his tuition.
Paul proudly served in the United States Army before embarking on a long and successful career in banking. Over the years, he worked for several banks and served as Vice President of KeyBank in Portland.
Paul spent much of his life residing in Windham before his health required him to move in with his son in Limington, where he received loving care.
In his free time, Paul enjoyed visiting the Oxford Casino, spending time at the beach, and collecting sea glass. He was known for his kindness, his unique and often twisted sense of humor, and the love he had for his family.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Edouard and Rhea St. Hilaire, and his two sisters, Angela Batson and Andrea St. Hilaire.
He is survived by his son, Eric St. Hilaire, and his partner, Bernadette Clark, of Limington; his daughter, Kristen Lofgren and her husband Eric, of Norway; his grandchildren, Kim Kristensen and Veronica St. Hilaire; and many extended family members.
The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Rose Linehan for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion she provided to Paul until his passing. Her dedication and support will always be appreciated.
A memorial service will be held a day and time to be announced.
