Paul C. Legere

Paul C. Legere, 65 years old, of Sanford, ME died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 25, 2005.Mr. Legere was born on April 30, 1939 in Cambridge, MA; the son of Leo and Margaret Galibois Legere. At the age of ten Mr. Legere moved to Sanford. He attended local schools, and graduated with the 1958 class of St. Ignatius High School. He enlisted in the National Guard, and was a graduate of the Golden School of Beauty.For many years Mr. Legere supported his family as proprietor of Paul's Beauty Salon, and later Chez Paul; where he worked as a beautician. He later worked for St. Ignatius Church, and retired from Sanford Institution for Savings in 2001.Mr. Legere was an active communicant of St. Ignatius Church; where he served in various capacities over his many loyal years. He loved to work in his flower garden, go hunting, or fishing, but above all spending time with family was truest to his heart.He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Pauline M. (Roux) Legere of Sanford; their four sons, Dennis M. Legere of Springvale, Stephen P. Legere of Springvale, David A. Legere and his wife Melanie of Berwick, Marcel D. Legere and his wife Angela of Sanford; a daughter Michelle Slack and her husband Jeff of Wiscasset; five grandchildren, and a sister Edith Hall and her husband Gene of Sanford.Visitation for Mr. Legere will be held Monday, March 28, 2005 from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St. Sanford. An 11:00 AM Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Ignatius Church in Sanford on Tuesday the 29th. Committal services will take place in the spring at St. Ignatius Cemetery.The Legere family suggest that memorials for Mr. Legere be made to the H.D.
