Paul R. Kimball, Jr., 76, of Sanford, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
Paul was born in Saco on March 31, 1946, to Paul and Dorothy Anne (Foster) Kimball. He grew up in Arundel and attended local schools, graduating from Sanford High School. Following high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Following his time in the military he returned home and settled down in Sanford. In 1970 he married Carol Trumble and together they shared 52 years of marriage and raised three children. During his working life he was employed for 41 years at WASCO in Sanford where he stayed until his retirement at the age of 65.
Paul was a hard worker and took pride in providing for his family. When he was younger, he enjoyed spending time working on his family's farm and especially liked being around all the animals. He will be remembered as laid back and easy-going man. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who treasured spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Kimball of Sanford; three children, Daniel Kimball, Amanda Kimball and her husband Jamie Micheliche and Billie-Jo Trumble, all of Sanford; three grandchildren, Cameron Kimball, Alyssa Micheliche and Jordan Micheliche, all of Sanford; his sister, Deborah Daudier and her husband Joseph of Stuart, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 27th at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery located on Stanley Road in Springvale.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider sending a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association, 383 US Route One #2C, Scarborough, Maine 04074.

Carol! This Al Lizotte. I am saddened to learn about Paul’s passing I am sorry I missed his funeral service. Please accept my condolences with thoughts and prayers.for you and your family.
We use to drag race our forklifts in the yard behind the building when we were young and foolish
Paul and I became good friends starting in Simplex, than Wasco and he was the one that talked me into joining the National Guard at that Sanford Armory. If you wish you could call me on my cell at (207)432-9950
