Paul W. Baker

Paul w. Baker, 47, of West Newfield died Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine.Mr. Baker was born on August 21, 1957 in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire to Ronald and Barbara Fisher Baker. At the age of 15, Paul lost the use of his legs. Being a man of strong character, he did not let this to hinder his enjoyment of life. Paul had many interests including building models and R.C. cars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading suspense novels. Paul loved animals; his cat Smoke was a good friend to him. Spending time with family was also very important, he especially liked having family barbecues and gatherings. Surviving are his parents, Ronald and Barbara Baker of West Newfield; his sister, Kathi Baker and her fiancee Mark Hartwell of West Newfield and his niece Haleigh Marston of West Newfield.A memorial gathering will be held at the home of Roland and Barbara Baker at 12 Libby Road in West Newfield on Sunday, May 8, 2005 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
