Patty Hobbs

Patty Hobbs, 58, died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 25, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Skowhegan on May 5, 1958 the daughter of John and Charlene Blodgett. She attended Massabesic High School and graduated from Sanford High School in 1976. In July 1973 she met the love of her life Kevin Hobbs and they were married on June 19, 1976 and together they had three daughters. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Charlene Blodgett, and by her grandparents, Wallace and Madeline Blodgett. She is survived by her husband of 40 years Kevin Hobbs, daughters, Melanie Paddack and her companion Joe Lasota of Skowhegan, Stephanie Ross and her husband Jon of Biddeford, Brandie Hobbs and her companion Rob Delafontaine of Sanford, sisters Nancy Tozier and her husband Tony of Glendale, Arizona, Lynnsey Unger and her husband Steve of Ellenwood,Georgia, Sherry Giddings of Springvale, Gail Staub and her husband Ray of Goshen, Indiana, Michelle Blodgett of West Newfield, grand children Shaianne Paddock, Jasmine Ross, Logan Ross, Joshua Delafontaine, stepgrandchildren Kelly Lasorta, Jessica Lasorta, stepmother Carlene Blodgett, aunts Velma Wills, Mary Lafountain and her husband Richard, Evelyn Shaw, and by several nieces and nephews. Patty's biggest enjoyment was spending time with family, especially her daughters and her grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at the Newton Center, Wentworth Douglass Hospice, New England Cancer Specialists, Dr. Lu Emerson, and Dr. Can Ilyas. There will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life will be at the Pleasant Street Free Baptist Church at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
