Patricia Murphy

patricia murphy
Patricia Murphy, 63, of Sanford, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in her home on June 22nd, 2021. Patricia was born to Patrick Murphy and Carmen Frechette Murphy in Sanford on January 9th, 1958. She grew up in a loving Irish and French household and enjoyed just being with family. She was good at drawing, and knitting, and loved listening to music. When she was younger, she enjoyed the simple things, just taking a drive for no reason at all, going swimming at the lake or beach, reading her bible, or going on walks to the park with her daughter. She was a devoted grandmother and didn't hesitate to have a nice long conversation with her grandson and granddaughter on an almost weekly basis. Everyone that knew her knows that even as she struggled with almost a lifelong mental illness, she was the kindest, most selfless person and didn't hesitate to help out those when she could even if it was just to offer words of encouragement to those that she was in touch with. She lived a quiet life, and she loved being a creature of habit, and was dedicated to her daily routine, but those that knew her, were touched by her kindness and quirky sense of humor. She is predeceased by her son, Sebastian Davidson, and her parents, Patrick Murphy and Carmen Frechette Murphy. She leaves behind her daughter, Meg, son-in-law Kyle, her grandchildren Shayne and Morrigan, her sister and brother-in-law: Claire and Doug Buck, and her niece Jasmine. In place of flowers, please consider donating to the Duggan family to help cover funeral expenses, or planting a memorial tree in Patricia's memory. A Celebration of Life for Patricia will be held on Friday, July 16th from 8:30 to 9:30AM at Gateway Park, 11 Riverside Avenue, Sanford. Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
