Patricia Cunningham

Patricia J. Cunningham, 63, of Sanford, died at her home on Thursday, February 3, 2011.Patricia was born in Sanford on May 24, 1947 to Maurice and Hazel (Landry) Bourassa and attended local Catholic schools. She worked several jobs during her life including working at Tennford Weaving, Jagger Mills, Encore Shoe and the Plantation in Ogunquit. In 1970 she married Richard Cunningham and together they raised four children.Patricia enjoyed playing Bingo and knitting blankets, which she would give to members of her family. She also enjoyed swimming in her pool and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.Patricia was predeceased by her parents and her brother, David Bourassa.Surviving are her husband, Richard Cunningham of Sanford; four children, Jeffrey Cunningham of Sanford, Penny Welch and her husband Gregory of Waterboro, Kevin Cunningham and his wife Cheryl of Springvale and Kim Cunningham and her companion Craig Abbott of Waterboro; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Services for Patricia will be private.Arrangements are under the direction of Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home in Sanford.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Waban Projects, Inc., 5 Dunaway Drive, Sanford, Maine 04073.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
