Norman E. Watson

Norman E. Watson, 89, of Sanford passed away on Friday April 15, 2005 at the Newton Center in Sanford. He was born on July 28, 1915 in Dover, New Hampshire a son of Frederick and Alice (Stevens) Watson.On March 17, 1956 he married the former Ruth A. Pillsbury in Springvale.Mr. Watson retired from the Portsmouth Naval shipyard in 1971 where he had been employed 30 years as an electrician. After his retirement he was not one to just sit around. He was a handy man and enjoyed tending to his garden and taking care of his animals.He is survived by his wife of 49 years Ruth A. Watson of Sanford. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 20 at 11am at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale with burial to follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover New Hampshire.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street Springvale, Maine
