Hill, 82, of Limerick, Maine, died January 16, 2002 at The Maine Veterans Home, Scarborough, Maine.He was born on December 2, 1919 in Whitefield, NH., he was the son of Robert and Ruth Brasso Hill, and attended schools there.Mr. Hill served in The United States Army during WWII. He was a prisoner of war and was in the Battle of The Bulge.After he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, Mr. Hill worked for the telephone company in N.Y. He then moved to Maine and worked 27 years for The Telephone Service Co., of Standish, Maine. Mr. Hill then worked five years as a supervisor for Mountain Limited of Falmouth, Maine. Mr. Hill was a past Registered Maine Guide. He loved the outdoors , especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed woodworking and took great pride in his yard in Limerick.He was a member of The American Legion in Limerick.Mr. Hill is survived by his children Rachel Sudentas of Limerick, Rexford Blaisdell of Rhode Island, Carol Canning of Waterboro; and Jean Balser, (UNKNOWN), he is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held in the Spring of 2002 in Highland Annex Cemetery, Limerick, Maine.
