Noella Rossignol

Westbrook - Noella Rossignol, 79, died Thursday, August 9, 2018 at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Center and Residence, Portland.
Born in Van Buren on January 6, 1939, Noella was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marie (Cote) Rossignol. She moved to the Portland area after attending Sacred Heart School in Van Buren.
Noella worked for several years in the cafeterias of Mercy Hospital and Maine Medical Center. It was at Mercy where she met her closest friend, Lois Auger. Noella and Lois worked together for nearly 30 years. She adored Lois and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Noella was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Portland. She was a very giving, generous and kind hearted woman. A very selfless woman, Noella took care of all of her aging family members until they passed away.
Noella had a love for cats. The last time Noella smiled before she died was when she saw a photo of Lois' cat. Noella had a deep and genuine appreciation for anything her family or friends did for her.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Eva Harlow, Jean Bartley, Russell Rossignol and Abraham Rossignol. Noella is survived by her beloved friend, Lois Auger of Portland and her family; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation celebration Noella's life will be held from 10AM-10:30AM on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. A funeral service will follow at 10:30AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stevens Avenue, Portland.
