Nellie Hilton

Nellie D. Hilton, 73 years old of Sanford, ME and Avon Park, FL died Tuesday April 1, 2003 in Avon Park, FL.Mrs. Hilton was born on July 2, 1929 in Suncook, NH. She was the daughter of Xavier and Marie Desrosiers Vezina. Mrs. Hilton attended Biddeford schools and for many years worked in local dress shops, and at the Sanford Healthcare Facility.Mrs. Hilton led a very active life. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crafting. Mrs. Hilton also enjoyed camping, and traveling across the entire country. She was an excellent baker, and an active member of the Union Congregational Church of Avon Park, FL.Predeceasing her is her husband Warren in 1994.Survivors include a daughter Roxanne and David Maleham of Milton Mills, NH; two sons, William and Katarina Hilton of Alfred, and Gary and Priscilla Hilton of Sanford. Also surviving is a brother Donald Vezina of Acton, a sister Pauline Gobiel of Biddeford, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a special friend Alfred Mayott of Lebanon.A period of visitation will be held on Sunday April 6th from 2 to 4 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale, ME; where funeral services will be held on Monday the 7th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.
