Myron E. Tilden

Myron E. Tilden Jr., 77, of Old Mill Rd. in Sanford and formerly of Saugus, MA died May 19, 2002 at the Newton Center in Sanford, ME.Mr. Tilden was born on June 24, 2002 in Newton, MA. He was the son of Myron E. Sr. and Caroline Mundo Tilden. He attended Massachusetts's schools and was a retired Army Reservist serving for over 30 years. Mr. Tilden also worked for International Harvester as a truck mechanic, and owned his own repair shop for electric mobility scooters.Over the years Mr. Tilden traveled to China and Taiwan. He also spent time touring the countryside with his wife in their motor home. Mr. Tilden was a member of St. Georges Episcopal Church of Sanford, a 13th degree mason, and a member of the Shriners. Surviving is his wife of 48 years Elizabeth M. "Betty" French Tilden of Sanford, two daughters, Barbara Dankos of MD, and Linda Leck of Sanford, ME. Also surviving are grandchildren Rachel and Mathew Leck, James and Yvonne Martel, a great granddaughter Maria, a sister Carolyn J. French of Tewksbury, MA and several nieces and nephews.A 1:00 PM memorial service for Mr. Tilden will be held on Saturday May 25th at the St. Georges Episcopal Church in Sanford.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Mr. Tilden's memory to St. Georges Episcopal Church, 3 Emerson St., Sanford, ME.
